Aleksandras PLIKUSAS was born in 1953 in the Kretinga district, Lithuania. In 1978 he
finished the K.Donelaitis secondary school in Klaipėda, and in 1976 graduated from the
Faculty of mathematics of Vilnius University. He maintained his doctoral thesis in 1980
at the same University.
A.Plikusas works in the field of limit theorems of probability theory at the
Applied Statistics Department of the Institute of
Mathematics and Informatics.
.
The areas of his scientific activity are:
- the properties of non-linear functional of Gaussian and Poison processes;
- limit theorems for polynomial statistics of some regular processes with independent
increments.
